Taaooma Reveals The Person Who Inspires Most Of Her Skits
In an interview with show host and actress Nancy Isime, the comedian, who is known for playing many personas in her sketches, revealed this.
Maryam Apaokaji aka Taaooma, a Nigerian comedian and sketch artist, has opened up about her life.
Taaooma claims that several of her acts are inspired by her mother.
During an interview with show presenter and actress Nancy Isime, she opened out.
Taaooma stated in an interview released on Wednesday that she gets ideas for her skits anytime she is around her mother.
“My mum,” Taaooma said when asked what or who inspires her skits. Whenever I’m around her, she unintentionally tells me a lot of stories; a lot of things.”
She also stated that she gets ideas from everyday events that occur in her environment.
Taaooma also mentioned that performing a skit on stage would be challenging for her because she would have to play up to seven or eight characters.
“Acting out a skit on stage will be challenging for me because I’m like seven or eight characters.” It would be good if I were this person who is differentiated… “I might,” the comedian remarked, “but it’s not on my mind right now.”
During the interview, Taaooma also stated that she had no idea what she would have done if she hadn’t pursued comedy.
“I wanted to be a doctor,” she remarked of her childhood goals. I later changed it to an attorney. When I arrived at university, I was offered Tourism, which I really enjoy. It appeals to me. It’s an excellent course. If you enjoy adventure, you’ll enjoy it.”
