Twenty-year-old Nigerian singer and rapper, Divine Ikubor popularly known as Rema has written out four words that make Nigerian policeman angry.
This is coming after a 17-year-old compatriot, Tina Ezekwe was shot dead by a Lagos police officer.
The death of the teenager sparked a movement in the country where celebrities such as Tiwa Savage, Omotola, Genevieve, Tacha, Don Jazzy and others are at the fore-front demanding justice for the young soul.
Talking via his verified Twitter handle the ‘Dumebi,’ crooner wrote: “4 words to make a Nigerian policeman angry “I Know My Right”
Mavin Records star artiste had on Sunday written that for every life they take, a solution to Nigeria’s problem is destroyed.
“For every life they take, a solution to Nigeria’s problem is destroyed. Stop killing the youths, we are the future. 💔🇳🇬 #JusticeForTina.” Rema wrote.
Rema, an Edo State-born singer, last year, became the first artist from Nigeria, whose song, ‘Iron man’, appeared on former United States of America’s president, Barack Obama’s 2019 summer playlist.
However, the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has reacted to the news of the rape and gruesome murder of Uwaila Omozuwa, the 100-level student of the University of Benin.
The police chief vowed that perpetrators of the dastard act will be brought to book.
