Barcelona striker Ousmane Dembele has replied to reports that he wants to leave the Nou Camp this summer to join Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea.
When Dembele signed for Barcelona for more than £100 million in 2017, it was the joint-second most expensive transfer in history.
The winger, now 25, had made an impression at Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund and had established himself as a fixture for France, appearing in their 2018 World Cup victory.
Dembele, on the other hand, has had a disappointing season at Barcelona, scoring only two goals in 32 appearances.
According to reports in Spain, the midfielder is willing to leave Barcelona and wants to join Chelsea, who have expressed interest in a summer transfer.
Tuchel wants to improve his attacking options following a disappointing domestic season, and Dembele is said to be a great fit for his group at Stamford Bridge.
Dembele, on the other hand, appears to have dashed Chelsea’s hopes of signing him this summer by informing a fan that he is ‘fine’ with Barcelona and will be remaining put.
A fan interacts with Dembele as they sit in their automobiles at a traffic signal, according to footage that has surfaced on social media.
The fan inquires, ‘Are you remaining in Barcelona?’ Dembele responds, ‘Yes.’
According to Sport, the fan then asks about Chelsea and whether Dembele wants to work with Tuchel at Stamford Bridge, to which Dembele responds, “I’m satisfied with Barcelona.”
Glen Johnson told his former team Chelsea that a deal for Barcelona striker Ousmane Dembele was a ‘no-brainer.’
