He’s durable, avoids injury – Cascarino tells Chelsea player to sign
Tony Cascarino, a former Chelsea forward, believes Chelsea should sign Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling this summer.
Sterling, who has been linked with a move from Man City to Chelsea, is a durable player, according to Cascarino.
If he decides to transfer to Stamford Bridge this summer, he believes the England international can be an upgrade over Christian Pulisic.
“I truly thought Pulisic would be a wonderful player for Chelsea when they got him,” Cascarino told talkSPORT. I expected him to be a top player, but due to injury, that has not been the case. One thing Raheem has is that he’s a really durable player. Hopefully, he doesn’t get hurt, but he’s a very durable guy. You may even swap him to the right side to give him additional versatility as a player.”
“I could see Chelsea attempting to get that type of wide man, yes,” he continued. Why wouldn’t you want to? He builds statistics and simply stretches teams. Pace always strains teams, and if you want to counter-attack, Raheem is an excellent counter-attacker because of his devastating pace.”
