Edouard Mendy Makes CAF’s Three-Man Final Shortlist | See List

On July 20, 2022, the organization posted the list of participants on its official Twitter account. Sadio Mane of Bayern Munich, Mohamed Salah of Liverpool, and Edouard Mendy of Chelsea are the three candidates for the prize, which will be presented on Thursday, July 21, 2022.

Mane and Mendy’s involvement for Senegal during the just finished Africa Cup of Nations, which was held in Cameroon, earned them a spot in the championship match by assisting the West African squad in beating the Pharaohs of Egypt to the World Cup. Salah’s performance for Liverpool in the Premier League and UEFA Champions League earned him a spot on the final list.

The award ceremony will be held on Thursday, July 21st, 2022 in Casablanca, Morocco.
